Description

The architect/engineer firm shall provide all equipment, labor, materials, travel, etc. necessary to complete the design of a project to Renovate 3B Clinic for Step-Down Building 1 located on the third floor. The location of the project is at the Veterans Healthcare of the Ozarks Medical Center campus, 1100 North College Avenue, Fayetteville, Arkansas. All existing interior partitions, suspended ceilings, flooring, casework, light fixtures, ductwork, chilled water and heating water piping, floor mounted fan coil units, electrical and communications conduit and wiring, and medical gas piping, within the construction boundary shall be removed. The design must include a detailed phasing plan of the work. Swing space is non-existent at the Medical Center; consequently, the nursing units, in the floor below, will not be closed during construction. An infection control plan shall be provided that includes details of all construction partitions, required to segregate adjacent nursing units / patient rooms from construction activities associated with this project. A new central HVAC system shall be designed and all private patient rooms shall have independent temperature controls. A minimum of one, negative pressure isolation room with anti-room shall be required. HVAC system shall comply with VA HVAC Design Guide. Additional requirements will be identified in Request for Proposals which will be submitted at a later date. This is not a request for a proposal. Evaluation consideration will be as follows: (1) specialized experience of the firm of the similar contracts; (2) past record of performance on similar contracts; (3) geographic location of facilities of the working office; (4) specific experience and qualifications of personnel proposed for assignment to the project. Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small/Emerging Small Business firms desiring consideration should submit SF330, Architect-Engineer Qualifications on or before November 21, 2013 by 3:00pm cst.
