Introduction/Description: The acquisition strategy for this procurement has not been determined at this time; however, either an unrestricted competition or set-aside will be chosen depending on the responses to this market survey. Work under this contract is scheduled to commence in May 2014 The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Western Service Area has a requirement for work associated with the relocation of the glide slope facility including the demolition of the existing facilities at the Flagstaff Pulliam Airport located in Flagstaff, Arizona. This project includes but is not limited to and incidental related work: For Runway 21 Glide Slope Facility: a. Construction of the concrete foundations for GS antenna tower and its new shelter. b. Installation of a concrete duct bank for Communication and power cables. c. Construction of the ground counterpoise systems around both GS antenna tower concrete foundation and shelter foundation. Terminate all guard wires, down conductors, 500 MCM and/or #4/0 welding wires to the new counterpoise of GS shelter. d. Assemble of GS antennas and tower. Set the new GS shelter and tower to their respective new foundations. e. Installation of a new power distribution rack and move the existing power meter owned by APS. f. Splice and installation of new power and communication cables. g. Asphalt patching at GS facility. h. Demolition of the existing GS antenna tower concrete foundations, GS antenna and shelter. Restore the area to match the existing surrounding.
