- PSC: Z1QA NAICS: 237990 SIZE STANDARD: $20,000,000 Footnote 2: NAICS code 237990 Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction - Dredging: To be considered small for purposes of Government procurement, a firm must perform at least 40 percent of the volume dredged with its own equipment or equipment owned by another small dredging concern. Maintenance Dredging, Isle of Wight and Sinepuxent Bay, Ocean City, Worcester County, Maryland. The proposed procurement is an Invitation for Bid (IFB) construction contract. This proposed procurement is 100% Total Small Business Set-Aside, NAICS 237990, Size Standard $20 Million. The estimated magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. PLEASE NOTE THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION. The solicitation will be posted on or about November 25, 2013. It is the Government's intent to solicit and award one contract for the maintenance dredging of Isle of Wight and Sinepuxent Bay, Ocean City, MD. The maintenance dredging of the Isle of Wight channel must be performed with a hydraulic pipeline dredge. The proposed work consists of maintenance dredging approximately 18,000 cubic yards of material and either creating an island in the Isle of Wight Bay or placing it on the beach at 33rd street. The maintenance dredging of the Sinepuxent Bay channel is expected to occur at intervals along the entire channel length of 12 miles. The proposed work consists of maintenance dredging about 400,000 cubic yards of material. The dredged material will be used to create three islands in the bay as well as some for beach nourishment. The period of performance will be about 245 calendar days which could encompass a time of year restrictions. Additional information in accordance with the statement of work is included in the bid request package.
