- Description
- Southwest Division Map SWL Map USACE SWL FY14 Interest Statement The Little Rock District Corps of Engineers (SWL) will host an Industry Day on 3 December 2013, at the Arkansas State Library Bessie B. Moore Conference Room located at 900 W Capitol Ave #100 Little Rock, AR 72201. Please note that parking is very limited in the area surrounding this facility. The purpose of this Industry Day is to conduct market research at a programmatic level to enable SWL to establish acquisition plans for Fiscal Year (FY) 14 as well as an opportunity to partner with local contractors to bolster interest in SWL's contracting requirements. There will be representatives from SWL's Contracting Office to briefly discuss upcoming FY14 contracting requirements for SWL. In addition to Contracting, there will be representatives from the District's Operations Management Office, Project Management Office and the Office of Small Business to give brief overviews of their unique requirements. SWL has a vast and diverse mission that encompasses both military and civil projects. Within our geographic boundaries, SWL is responsible for operating 12 multipurpose lakes, 13 locks and dams, 308 miles of navigation on the McClellan-Kerr Arkansas River Navigation System, 178 parks and 7 hydroelectric plants. SWL provides support to military facilities within our boundaries including Little Rock Air Force Base and Fort Chaffee as well as to customers in Texas and Oklahoma (see attached Southwest Division Map). Additionally, SWL provides worldwide support to Air Force Medical Services providing construction, A-E and supply contracting to support their mission. There will be 2 sessions to accommodate all interested attendees. While attendees are able to attend both sessions, due to space and time constraints we ask that you attend only the session that best fits your interest and capabilities. The first session will be held from 0830-1200 and will focus solely on SWL's operation and maintenance day-to-day requirements which may include but are not limited to park mowing, park attendants, park cleaning, boundary line maintenance, pest management, janitorial services and other services and supplies necessary to operate and maintain our park facilities. There are various services required throughout SWL (see attached SWL Map). The majority of these requirements are commercial in nature ranging from $25K - $5M. The areas of performance are generally located within a specific Project Office's Boundary and there are currently 9 Projects Offices within SWL. For example, a mowing contract for the Greer's Ferry Project Office would likely encompass all parks operated and maintained by that Project Office. A more detailed project list will be published prior to the Industry Day. SWL will provide a short briefing on the upcoming projects in this category followed by a one on one capability briefings with each company in attendance (capability briefings will be limited to a 10 minute session per company due to space and time constraints). The second session will be held from 1230-1615 and will focus on upcoming construction and A-E projects supporting both the Military and Civil missions. Projects include but are not limited to Engineering Infrastructure Repair projects for Air Force Medical Services (may include international work), Aircraft Arresting System at Ft Bliss, TX, and Surveying Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contract. SWL will provide a briefing on the upcoming projects in these areas followed by a one on one capability briefing with each company in attendance (capability briefings will be limited to a 10 minute session per company due to space and time constraints). Interested attendees are required to complete the attached "USACE-SWL FY14 Interest Statement" and return it to Alicia Moore and Marcus Mitchell at alicia.m.moore@usace.army.mil and marcus.d.mitchell@usace.army.mil respectively not later than 22 November 2013. Please complete all sections of the Interest Statement.
