- Description
- The Army Contracting Command-New Jersey (ACC-NJ), Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000, on behalf of the U.S. Army, Research Development and Engineering Command, Armament Research, Development and Engineering Center (RDECOM-ARDEC) is conducting a market survey to identify qualified sources capable of providing accelerometers for Telemetry testing program. Accelerometers must be High Gravity (Hi-G) designed for shock measurements in three directions. A Leadless Chip Carrier package must be designed for surface mount attachment to circuit boards. A highly efficient sensing system must be sculpted from single crystal silicon, which includes the inertial masses and strain gages arranged in a four-active-arm Wheatstone bridge circuit for each axis. An extremely small size and unique construction of the elements must allow exceptionally high resonant frequencies suitable for harsh environments in support of the EXCALIBUR testing projectile program which is the Army's application of a precision, autonomously guided, long-range artillery system. In addition, accelerometers must be capable of measuring long duration shocks with a frequency response extending down to dc (Steady state acceleration) and a minimum post shock zero shifts. Interested sources who feel they are capable of providing the above technical services are invited to indicate their interest with a brief summary of the following: a)Provide evidence of companies capabilities b)Description of facilities, personnel, past performance, and environmental compliance as it relates to the above technical services. c)Provide evidence of Quality Assurance and Reliability programs to support these technical services. d)Provide their name, address, point of contact, telephone, email, and size of business. This market survey is for planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a Request for Proposal or as an obligation on the part of the U.S. Government. No award will be made as a result of this market survey. All information is to be submitted at no cost or obligation to the Government.
