- Project Title: B100 4E MICU-CCU at the VA Medical Center, Seattle, Washington. Construction Project Number is: 663-12-110. The Invitation for Bid Number is: VA260-14-B-0062. The Seattle VA Medical Center requires the services of a construction contractor to renovate the MICU/CCU, Fourth Floor East Wing of Building 100. Work includes, but is not limited to, completely prepare site for building operations, including selective interior demolition and removal of existing materials, and furnish labor and materials and perform work for alterations of 4th Floor East Wing of Building 100 and indicated electrical/communication rooms in core area as required by drawings and specifications. This work is critical to the VA's ability to fulfill its mission to provide health care to the veterans at the Seattle, WA, campus. This procurement is 100% Set-Aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Concerns. Bids from other than Vet-Biz certified SDVOSB concerns will not be considered and shall be rejected. NAICS is 236220 applies and the Size Standard is $33.5 Million. The construction magnitude for this project is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00. Note to bidders: The completion of this project within the required performance period is critical and liquidated damages may be included in this procurement. The government anticipates issuing two notices to proceed (NTP) for this procurement as follows: Phase 1 - Submittal and Material Gathering Period; and, Phase 2 - Physical Construction. Phase 2 will have a fixed performance period of the start of work no earlier than May 1, 2014 and all work shall be completed prior to November 17, 2014. All work shall be completed within the stated time so it does not delay an ongoing Major funded project for seismic upgrades. Solicitation package will be available on or about November 18, 2013 and will be posted to this site. No paper copies of the solicitation will be issued. A public bid opening will be at the Network Contracting Office, 8524 North Wall Street, Spokane, WA 99208 on the date and time stated in Block 13A of the Standard Form 1442, Solicitation, Offer and Award.
