- Description
- The Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) has a requirement for R&D Test Article Construction Services. These services will consist primarily of building heavy reinforced concrete slabs, fabricating and erecting reference panels, trench excavation in type II soil to include backfill and compaction, and other general construction support activities to include underground construction. Underground construction entails tunnel excavation through drill and blast methods, inspection, repair, and maintenance of existing tunnels, drilling horizontal and vertical shafts, installation of forced ventilation, and qualified rescue team. It is anticipated that a Request for Proposal (RFP) will be released on or about November 18, 2013 via FedBizOpps. It is also anticipated that a site visit will be held prior to proposal reciept. Details of the site visit will be included in the RFP. A Multiple Award, Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) type contract is contemplated with Firm-Fixed-Price, Time and Materials, and Fixed-Price Level of Effort type task orders possible. The period of performance is contemplated to be a 5-year base and a 5-year Option (10 years total) from date of award, with a maximum order limit of $80M for the base years and $80M for the option years. The place of performance will be primarily at White Sands Missile Range, NM and Kirtland AFB, NM. The applicable North American Industrial Classification Standard (NAICS) code is 237990.
