Description
•1.0 INTRODUCTION The Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), Corona Division, Range System Engineering Department, Code 31 requires the purchase of Xenarc Touchscreen Monitors to support the Joint Display System (JDS) expansion and modernization at Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Miramar Range in California. •2.0 BACKGROUND Fleet usage at MCAS Miramar facility has outgrown the availability of the display system. With the arrival of Tactical Combat Training System (TCTS) and its expanded footprint of tracking capability, Miramar has experience a dramatic increase in supported missions. TCTS Miramar now supports more than 52% of all fixed-wing TCTS Missions for Yuma Tactical Training Range (YTTR). It requires JDS stations to meet the growing needs of the fleet and existing equipment is outdated and not reliable. In order the training needs of the fleet, MCAS Miramar requires the Xenarc Thin-Film-Transistor (TFT) Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) Touchscreen monitors listed in the Specifications. 3.0 SPECIFICATIONS Salient Characteristics The following critical features represent the technical requirements for the computer equipment to be used as part of the modernization and JDS expansion.
