Description

PROJECT DESCRIPTION The Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, transportation, supervision, and other support needed to provide environmentally conditioned air to SPD Logistics Storage at the 14 Room Complex in Building 34 Ground Floor during a construction period which will replace the current Air Handling Unit (AHU). at the VA Medical Center, 400 Fort Hill Avenue, Canandaigua NY 14424 EXISTING CONDITIONS Buildings 34G - Occupied during normal business hours. 1.Access to Work - The contractor shall use the exterior doors. Do not store or use VA buildings for storage or staging.. 2.The SPD Logistics Storage Room Complex will be in operation during the performance of this work. This work shall not restrict or impede SPD logistics operations. 3.Adjacent construction work will be in progress to furnish a replacement AHU for SPD. Site access and activity is to be coordinated in this work with the work of others. The work of this contract will include routing of the temporary AHU power cable so as not to impede the work of the adjacent AHU project 4.The contractor shall schedule the work only after review and approval of all items required for submittal and receipt of all material. 5.The drawings provided shall be for general reference only. This procurement has been set aside 100% to Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business concerns. Offers from other than Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business concerns will NOT be considered and shall be rejected. Evaluation will be based on the Lowest Price. Solicitation packages will be available via FedBizOpps.gov on or about November 21, 2013. All questions concerning this project MUST be submitted electronically to the POC listed below. NO phone calls will be accepted. NAICS code is 2368220 (Commercial and Institutional Building Construction). Size standard is $33.5 million. The estimated magnitude of this project is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. The Davis-Bacon Act applies to this requirement. Offerors are encouraged to attend the Pre-Proposal Meeting and walk through at the Canandaigua VA Medical Center. The date, time, and place will be announced in the solicitation. NO OTHER WALK THROUGH WILL BE SCHEDULED. Offerors should re-visit the website located at www.fedbizopps.gov periodically to look for updates. All requests for information are required to be submitted in writing to the Contracting Officer and shall be received prior to the proposal due date specified in the solicitation. NO hardcopies, NO telephone inquiries or questions, and ONLY in writing. Award is subject to availability of funds. Emailed proposals will be accepted.
