- This is not a solicitation announcement. This is a sources sought synopsis only. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification (Hubzone, 8(a), Small Business, Small Disadvantaged Business, Veteran Owned Small Business or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business) relative to NAICS 811219 (Size Standard $7 million). Responses to this synopsis will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. Responses to this sources sought synopsis are not considered responses to any potential solicitation announcement. The Department of Veterans Affairs VHA Network 15 Contracting Office is seeking information concerning possible sources to provide Monthly Preventative Maintenance on the Toshiba America Medical Imaging System, Model MDX-8000A. Maintenance includes all components of this system such as: control room panels, CPUs, remote controller, Table, and all glassware. The Toshiba America Medical Systems, Inc. equipment is located at the Kansas City VA Medical Center 4801 Linwood Blvd Kansas City, MO 64128. Any prospective contractors must be authorized /certified to provide the required maintenance of this equipment from the manufacturer and must show proof with any provided documents. A specific list of equipment for each location and address of location will be provided if requested. The VA intends to award a contract to a qualified organization to provide these services for approximately the period of time of 12/01/2013 thru 11/30/2014 base year, with four follow-on option years. A Request for Quotes will be posted on FebBizOpps after the VA concludes its market research to the availability of possible sources. These services are currently being provided by expiring contract VA255-P-1483. All interested firms shall provide the following information: company name, address, point of contact, phone number, email address, capability statement, business size and socio-economic classification. Telephone responses will not be accepted. Responses must be received in writing no later than 12:00 p.m. CST November 12, 2013. This notice is to assist the VA in determining sources only. A solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued it will be announced at a later date, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement. Responses to this sources sought is not a request to be added to a prospective bidders list or to receive a copy of the solicitation.
