MARKET SURVEY: SOURCES SOUGHT for SAAB 2000 Aircraft Brake Assembly Overhaul The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) located in Oklahoma City, OK has a requirement for our SAAB 2000 aircraft Brake Assembly Overhaul. The requirement is for overhaul services defined to include all labor, materials, tools, parts, and consumables as necessary to restore aircraft component that is in an inoperable or degraded condition to airworthy condition. Aircraft Details: SAAB 2000 N92225 Description: Brake Assembly Overhaul (Parts, Shipping, and Labor) Part Number: 5010735-7 Serial Number: MAR95-0157 The principle North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code anticipated for this effort is 488190, Other Support Activities for Air Transportion, with a size standard of $30.0 Million. HOW TO RESPOND TO THIS MARKET SURVEY: Interested contractors should submit the following information to the point of contact listed at the bottom of this announcement: 1. Business Declaration form (attached) and a copy of your SBA 8(a) certification letter, if applicable. 2. Capability Statement - This document should identify: a) Type of services provided by your firm b) Number of years in business c) Geographic area where your company can provide services d) Previous experience for work involving similar scope 3. Expected programmatic approach (in-house, teaming, subcontracting, etc.) - Respondents must provide their strategy for accomplishing this Brake Assembly Overhaul, including the percentage of work that will be done by eligible small, service-disabled veteran-owned and 8(a) certified businesses. 4. General Pricing Information. Interested parties are requested, but not required, to provide an estimated top-level rough order of magnitude (ROM) to include a range of the estimated total fixed price cost for the overhaul. Details or breakdowns are not necessary during the market survey phase. Any pricing information rendered is for information purposes only and is not to be construed to be binding in any manner by either the government or the contractor. 5. Copy of your FAA repair station certificate showing proper ratings for SAAB 2000 component repairs. The purpose of this market survey is to solicit statements of interest and capabilities from large businesses, small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses and 8(a) certified firms, capable of fulfilling this requirement. This market survey is also being conducted in order to obtain the information necessary to determine whether adequate competition exists to set-aside the competition among small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses or 8(a) certified firms or if full and open competition is appropriate. At this time the nature of the competition has not been determined. Depending on the responses received from the market survey, the FAA may decide to do a full and open competition or set aside all or part of the procurement for small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses or eligible socially and economically disadvantaged businesses that are certified by the SBA for participation in the SBA's 8(a) Program. This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
