Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, (VA) Program Contract Activity-Central, intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2); Only One Responsible Source Available, no other source will satisfy agency requirements. The VA intends to solicit and negotiate with: American College of Cardiology Foundation 2400 N ST NW Washington, DC 20037 for the following: the VA requires data comparison to determine the level of care offered to Veterans at their medical centers. Specifically, The American College of Cardiology Foundation (ACCF) has developed the National Cardiovascular Data Registry (NCDR). The NCDR is the only recognized national registry/database that collects and reports on standardized national clinical cardiovascular data. Use of the NCDR permits confidential comparisons of a participant's data with national or regional summary data in order to monitor cardiac care performance in an effort to improve patient care. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency, only if received by the closing date and time of this notice. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Responses to this notice are due on or before November 22, 2013, 10:00 ET by email to merrie.frost@va.gov.
