- This is a SOURCES SOUGHT Notice Project Overview: _____________________________________________________________________________________________ The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Detroit District, is seeking potential firms that are capable of fabricating and furnishing (no installation required) stainless steel plate z-shape recess repair assemblies and concrete anchors at the US Army Corps of Engineers, Soo Area Office, Sault Ste. Marie, MI. The recess repair assemblies shall be fabricated of ASTM A240-316L stainless steel. Welding shall be done in accordance with AWS D1.6 for stainless steel. Contractor shall also supply concrete anchors, 1/2" x 5-1/2" Hilti KB3 316 stainless steel anchors or approved equal. Stainless steel anchors shall be AISI Type 316 stainless steel provided with stainless steel nuts and washers of matching alloy group. Stainless steel nuts shall conform to ASTM F594. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 332312, which has a small business size standard of 500 employees. This is NOT a request for quotes (RFQ). This announcement is for planning purposes only. In order to determine the extent of industry interest and experience in the requirement, interested contractors shall present the following information: 1. A statement of your firm's interest in the project, including the firm's name, DUNS number, address, and contact information. 2. Any socio-economic classification(s) (e.g., large business, small business, small disadvantaged business, etc.) as they relate to NAICS code 332312. 3. A statement identifying ability to complete this requirement as stated. All qualified companies are encouraged to respond. No basis for claim against the Government shall arise as a result of a response to this sources sought or Government use of any information provided. The Government will not pay for information or comments provided and will not recognize any costs associated with submission of comments. Estimated Award date and Contract Timeline: _____________________________________________________________________________________________ The contract will have a 60 day completion requirement. The estimated award date of the contract is 20 December 2013.
