- U.S. Department of Agriculture, Agriculture Research Service in Beltsville, Maryland intends to award a sole source contract to the vendor: Ames, Inc. - located in Columbia, Maryland, for a quantity of one each of the following item: Exact replacement Effluent Filter return pump. Description of above item: Exact replacement FBM Per Serial Number: K4A1-022877-DCM-SP-U, 4-010-D-5432-MCLV-DCM-U, with 5 HP MTR FBM, SPCL SS IMP WR RING, SPCL CASE RING, SPCL COATING, CLIDE BRKT and CLV DES, and SPCL BASE ELB. The manufacturer of the above item is Pentair (In-Care-Of) Fairbanks Morse, and they are located at 3601 Fairbanks Ave. in Kansas City, Kansas 66106-0999. Ames, Inc. is the sole source authorized re-seller of the above required item in the State of Maryland. The procurement will be solicitedon a Unrestricted basis. NAICS Code: 333911 is applicable. (FAC) Federal Acquisition Circular 05-70 is applicable. This notice of intent is for informational purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. This notice is not a request for competitive quotations. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. Any firm that believes it can provide the equipment listed above may submit substantiating documentation in writing to the identified point of contact not later than COB Nov. 24, 2013. The successful company must be registered at the Web Site: www.sam.gov and also the Online Representations and Certification (ORCA) at http://orca.bpn.gov. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. A determination not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely at the discretion of the Government.
