- Justification for an Exception to Fair Opportunity Centuria currently provides to the support to the NWS to maintain operational tools and support equipment needed to maintain hardware, drawing, parts lists and other configuration management data and records. Centuria in addition supports Special Project 58, WSR-88D Signal Processor. Centuria provides this support in two principal areas: Configuration Managed Software and System Development and (2) Hardware Engineering support. This requirement is the acquisition to add additional RVP 900 Digital Receivers and Signal Processor systems and Dual Polarization Software Features licenses. Centuria will subcontract with Vaisala Corporation to acquire the Digital Receivers and Signal Processor systems and Dual Polarization Software Features licenses. Vaisala is the manufacturer of the RVP systems and is the only source for this signal processing equipment and the sole proprietor software licenses software. Vaisala does not sellthe RVP900 or licenses to other companies for resale.
