Description

SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory, Menlo Park CA is planning to replace up to four heat exchangers, which provide low conductivity water (LCW) for SLAC beamline experiments in Cooling Tower 1701 and is seeking sources. The Interested Vendor is to register thru the Interested Vendor portal. This is not a solicitation nor a request for proposals and any proposal will be summarily disqualifed upon receipt. This procurement may be designated as a small business set aside. The Interested Vendor must possess a valid California contractor license and must be able to support payment and performance bonding of no less than $ 5,000,000. The subcontractor shall provide all materials, labor, equipment and project management support, including testing and commissioning requirements. Work is to be performed in 2014, commencing in the first calendar quarter and completing all work and test/commissioning activities by October 24, 2014. in accordance with owner specifications and drawings, subcontractor shall procure and install up to four heat exchangers on a new concrete pad, install all necessary piping, valves instruments and supports for the new heat exchangers and the reconfiguration of the LCW supply lines. Due to ongoing beam line experiments, major underground utility tie-ins and field work must be scheduled and completed for the period Aug. 7-September 19, 2014.
