Description

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has a requirement for a roof replacement project on the Air Traffic Control Tower (ATCT) at the Tacoma Narrows Airport (TIW), Tacoma, WA, in accordance with attached FAA ATO Specification # JCN 1106342. At this time the nature of the competition has not been determined. The FAA may decide to do a full and open competition or set aside all or part of the procurement for small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses or eligible socially and economically disadvantaged businesses that are certified by the SBA for participation in the SBA's 8(a) Program. The purpose of this market survey is to solicit statements of interest and capabilities from companies who list NAICS code of 238160 as their PRIMARY source of Business, including small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses and 8(a) certified firms, capable meeting the technical requirements to perform the roof replacement project on the ATCT at the Tacoma-Narrows Airport, in accordance with the attached Specification/Statement of Work. This market survey is also being conducted in order to obtain the information necessary to determine whether adequate competition exists to set-aside the competition among small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses or 8(a) certified firms. The principle North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code anticipated for this effort is 238160 “ The Small Business Administration Size Standard for NAICS Code 238160 is $14.0 million. In order to make this determination the FAA requires the following information from interested vendors: *************************************************************** PLEASE NOTE THERE IS A PAGE LIMITATION OF FIVE (5) PAGES MAXIMUM PER RESPONSE TO THIS MARKET SURVEY. *************************************************************** 1. Offerors must complete and return the attached Business Declaration Form. The form is provided as a separate document under this announcement. The FAA reserves the right to review and verify each offeror's program eligibility. 2. Capability Statement - This document should identify: a) Type of services provided by your firm, b) Size and type of services provided by previous contracts (elaborate and provide detailed information and past performance within the past five (5) years). c) Number of years in business d) Demonstrated ability, within the past five (5) years, of same/similar experience to that of work found in attached Specification # JCN 1106342. 3. Expected programmatic approach (in-house, teaming, subcontracting, etc.) - Respondents must provide their strategy for accomplishing this work, including the percentage of work that will be done by eligible small, service-disabled veteran-owned and 8(a) certified businesses. 4.
