Description

Project Number 568-13-101, Relocate Generator & Upgrade Emergency Power (Fort Meade, SD). Contractor shall furnish all supervision, tools, labor, materials, equipment, and transportation necessary to relocate the existing emergency generator and upgrade the emergency electrical power for Building 113 at the VA Black Hills Medical Center, Fort Meade, South Dakota. All work associated with this project must be substantially compete within 210 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed. Work includes, but is not limited to, general construction, alterations, mechanical and electrical work, utility systems, necessary demolition and removal of existing structures and certain other items necessary for completion. Work shall be performed in strict accordance with the specifications and drawings, and all applicable VA and local codes. Solicitation Number VA263-14-R-0100 for this effort will be posted to FedBizOpps (www.fedbizopps.gov) on or about November 22, 2013. This solicitation will contain all necessary specifications, drawings and other information necessary to bid the project. An Organized Site Visit will be held. (See solicitation when available for date/time/location of the organized site visit). All proposals are tentatively due by January 13, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. Central Standard Time (see solicitation when available for specific time/date). The successful bidder will be required to provide Performance and Payment Bonds within 10 calendar days of award notification. The Period of Performance is expected to be 210 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice-to-Proceed. THIS SOLICITATION IS SET ASIDE FOR SERVICE-DISABLED VETERAN-OWNED SMALL BUSINESSES (SDVOSBs) UNDER PUBLIC LAW 109-461. Disclosure of the magnitude of construction projects: The estimated cost of the total project is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00.
