- Description
- Product Director Soldier Systems and Integration (PD SS&I), Project Manager Soldier Warrior (PM SWAR), and Program Executive Office Soldier (PEO Soldier) will host a Soldier Power Industry Day November 19 & 20, 2013 at the Fort Belvoir Officers Club located at 5500 Schultz Circle (Building 20), Fort Belvoir, VA, 22060-5903. The event will begin at 1:00 pm (1300) EST on the 19th and 9:00 am (0900) EST on the 20th. This announcement is not a formal solicitation and is not a request for proposals. This event is open to all DOD Government and US industry representatives. This Industry Day will present an opportunity to inform industry leaders of Soldier Power's projected requirements for the following items: flexible, small, light-weight Solar Power Panels (100Wh-600Wh), Squad Power Manager, and Universal Battery Charger. Day 1 (19 November 2013) will cover Squad Power Manager and Universal Battery Charger requirements. Day 2 (20 November, 2013) will cover solar requirements for the Squad Power Manager and Universal Battery Charger. Industry participants may attend either or both days. A series of 15 minute one-on-one sessions with vendors will be offered after Industry Day presentations. Although the scope of the topics under these focus areas will be limited, the broader intent of Industry Day is to facilitate communication of PD SS&I Soldier Power technology needs and discussions on potential provider solutions to better guide solicitation efforts. Organizations interested in attending the Soldier Power Industry Day should submit company and attendee names by 2:00 pm (1400) EST, 15 November 2013 via e-mail to ACC-APG Contract Specialist, Shawn Jamerson at shawn.l.jamerson.civ@mail.mil and MAJ Joseph McCarthy at joseph.j.mccarthy.mil@mail.mil. Companies are limited to two (2) representatives each as seating is limited. All attendees are required to present Government-issued photo identification upon entry to the event. Attendees will be responsible for their own food and beverages on both days. This announcement is for informational planning purposes, does not constitute a formal solicitation or request for proposal and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. Attendance at the Industry Day and any discussion/release of information is strictly voluntary. Any formal solicitations will be announced at a later date. The Government reserves the right to cancel this requirement at any time. The Government will not be responsible for any associated costs as a result of prospective offerors interest and/or response to this notice or future solicitations.
