- MARKET SURVEY CAPABILITY ASSESSMENT FOR NATIONAL FURNITURE PROCUREMENT FOR MISCELLANEOUS AND ANCILLARY FURNITURE This is a market survey. The responses to this market survey will be used for informational purposes only. This is not a screening information request or request for proposal of any kind. The FAA is not seeking or accepting unsolicited proposals. This notice should not be construed as a commitment of any type by the FAA to take or not take any action. No evaluation letters or results will be issued to respondents. The FAA will not pay for any information received or costs incurred in preparing a response to the market survey. Therefore, any cost associated with the market survey submission is solely at the interested vendor ™s expense. At this time, the nature of the competition has not been determined. The FAA may decide to do a full and open competition or set aside all or part of the procurement for small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses or eligible socially and economically disadvantaged businesses that are certified by the SBA for participation in the SBA's 8(a) Program. The purpose of this market survey is to solicit statements of interest and capabilities from large businesses, small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses and 8(a) certified firms capable of meeting the requirements of this procurement. This market survey is also being conducted in order to obtain the information necessary to determine whether adequate competition exists to set-aside the competition among small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses, or 8(a) certified firms. The principal North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) codes for this effort are 337214, Office Furniture (except Wood) Manufacturing, with a size standard of 500 employees, and 337127, Institutional Furniture Manufacturing, with a size standard of 500 employees. A draft of the Statement of Work (SOW) for this procurement is attached as Attachment 1. Respondents are encouraged to review the SOW and provide comments. Interested firms are required to complete and submit the Business Declaration Form, attached as Attachment 2, and a copy of their SBA 8(a) certification letter, if applicable. The FAA also requires from each interested vendor a Capabilities Statement. The specific information required to be submitted is described in the Capabilities Statement Requirements attached as Attachment 3. Each interested vendor must also include in its submittal a brief statement describing (1) its expected programmatic approach in meeting this requirement (i.e., in-house, teaming, subcontracting, etc.), including, if applicable, the percentage of work that will be done by eligible small, service-disabled veteran-owned, and 8(a) certified businesses, and (2) its expected approach in providing services in multiple geographical areas. All interested parties may be included on a list for the purpose of promoting subcontracting/teaming in connection with the subject requirement. Complete the Interested Vendor Information Template attached as Attachment 4 should you wish to be included on the interested parties list. All proprietary information will be treated as such. Therefore, respondents should identify any proprietary information included in responses. All responses to this market survey must be received by 2:00 PM EST on December 13, 2013.
