Request for Information (RFI) Drug Database and Decision Support Tools for Pharmacy Reengineering (First Databank) THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY. This request is for planning purposes only, and does not constitute a Request for Proposal, a Solicitation, a Request for Quote or, an indication that the Government will award a contract for the services contained in this RFI. This notice is not to be construed as a commitment on the part of the Government to award a contract, nor does the Government intend to pay for any information submitted as a result of this request. The Government does not reimburse respondents for any costs associated with submission of the information being requested or, reimburse expenses incurred for responses to this RFI. Companies are encouraged to respond if they have the capability and/or capacity to provide the services identified below and in the attached draft Product Description (PD). Respondents should identify their company name, address, email, telephone number and a name and telephone number of a point of contact having the authority and knowledge to clarify responses with government representatives. It is requested that all companies interested in participating in this effort please note their interest by providing a capabilities statement for the services indicated below and in the attached draft PD. Also, please indicate in your response if you are an authorized reseller of these services. The United States Department of Veterans Affairs, Technology Acquisition Center (VA TAC) is seeking sources to provide a comprehensive pharmacy database and associated decision support tools from First Databank. The Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) database is required for clinical decision support software used in the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Computerized Patient Record System (CPRS) system, as well as the pharmacy packages for Veterans Health Administration, Pharmacy Service, and Indian Health Services.
