- 1) Type of Notification: Sources Sought (FBO) This is a sources sought synopsis only, (not a pre-solicitation notice pursuant to FAR Part 5). The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources. Responses to this notice shall include the following: (a) company name (b) address, (c) point of contact, (d) "number of employees" as defined by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) part 19.101 and (e) the amount of "annual receipts" as defined by the FAR part 19. In addition, the respondent must provide a capability statement that addresses the organization's qualifications and ability to perform as a prime contractor the work described below. 2) Description: Non-Personal Services (Medical Gas Replacement Services) The following is a brief summary of the primary duties that the Contractor must perform: Contractor personnel shall provide daily interface with the customer on all activities related to gases, equipment, services and secure additional support as needed. Contractor shall be responsible for the handling of all cylinders to include shipping, receiving, storage and hydrostatic testing. Contractor personnel shall manage the process of incoming and outgoing deliveries of gases and related products, physically and administratively. Contractor personnel shall be responsible for fulfilling orders and making subsequent deliveries as requested by the Medical Treatment Facilities. 3) Hours of Performance: Normal duty hours will be between 0730 and 1630. The duty week shall not exceed forty (40) hours in seven (7) calendar days. 4) Qualifications: The contractor personnel shall meet the following qualification requirements: personnel shall have two years experience in dealing with medical gas within the past three years, meet skill and knowledge requirements in dealing with medical gas, have demonstrable computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel), and maintain registration as a Drug and Device Establishment and be licensed as Drug and Device Distributors / Manufacturers as required by the Texas Department of State Health Services. 5) Place of Performance: These services would be performed at Wilford Hall Ambulatory and Surgical Center and/or military installations in San Antonio, TX. This survey is to determine the capability of potential sources and the availability of commercial sources and services pursuant to FAR Part 10. This notice is for informational purposes only and does not constitute an Invitation for Bid or Request for Proposal, and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The Government will not reimburse contractors for any cost incurred for their participation in this survey. Large and small businesses are encouraged to participate in this survey. Prospective vendors are cautioned that if you cannot provide Medical Gas Replacement Services, please do not respond to this notice. In the event a prospective vendor is selected for an award, the selected vendor must be registered in the Systems for Awards Management website at www.sam.gov.
