- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. This is not a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, bids, or quotations. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of all qualified sources to perform a potential requirement. Responses to the information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method. The Great Lakes Acquisition Center is planning to solicit a service to provide Nursing Leadership development at the Jesse Brown Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. Training will equip nurse managers with enhanced clinical, leadership, business, and accountability skills. The following objective shall be met: "Equip nurse managers with the critical leadership and business skills required to improve nursing performance. "Migrate nurse manager definition of great leadership from one that focuses on personal accomplishment to one that emphasizes the achieving of results through others. "Strengthen the culture of nursing leadership by providing common language and frameworks to tackle nursing's unique challenges. "Support professional nursing practice by fostering a disciple of continuous improvement, unyielding drive to excellence and staff and self-accountability All Vendors can reply to this sources sought, however, the GLAC will conduct a market survey to determine the existence of potential small business concerns (e.g., HUBZone, 8(a), SDVOSB, Woman Owned, etc.) with the capability to accomplish this service for Nursing Leadership training. The training will include interactive, online self-study coursework involving common business and staff challenges. Interested parties shall provide a brief overview of their firm's capabilities and past experience with services similar in scope. Capability statements shall include classes offered to include online classes. All information shall be submitted in Word or PDF format, not to exceed 10 pages, including all attachments. Each submittal shall also include the following business information: a.DUNS number b.Organization Name c.Organization Address d.Point of Contact (including name, title, addresses, telephone number, fax number and Email address) e.Business size f.Socio-economic status Firms shall identify whether or not they are a small business or other than small business in accordance with the size standard for NAICS code 611710. If another NAICS code may be applicable, please identify the NAICS in your capability statement. All information must be received by the GLAC no later than: November 22, 2013, 2:00 PM, CST. The Government reserves the right to use any non-proprietary technical information in any resultant solicitation(s).
