- THIS IS A SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT (IAW FAR PART 5.203) FOR THE SUPPLY AND DELIVERY OF AGGREGATE MATERIALS (CRUSHED STONE AND SAND) CONTRACT. THIS INVITATION FOR BID WILL REMAIN POSTED FOR A MINIMUM OF 30 DAYS AT THE GOVERNEMENT POINT OF ENTRY. This is a notification to industry to announce the invitation for bid of solicitation W911RX-14-B-0001; Aggregate Materials at Fort Riley, KS. With this solicitation release, an Invitation for Bid (IFB) from all interested and qualified bidders is requested. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this IFB announcement or any follow-up information requests related to this IFB. This notice does not constitute nor should it be construed as a commitment by the Government for any purpose other than noted above. The Directorate of Public Works is seeking all qualified vendors with the relevant experience, personnel, and capability to deliver Aggregate Materials (Crushed Stone and Sand) to various locations on Fort Riley Kansas. See Statement of Work (SOW) of the Solicitation for specific requirements. The Government anticipates award of a FFP, requirements contract. Contract award will be made to the lowest responsible bidder whose bid, conforming to the Invitation for Bid (IFB), will be most advantageous to the Government, considering only price and past performance related factors included in the Invitation for Bid (FAR 14). The proposed contract will be for one base year with 3 one-year options. Period of Performance is to begin on 01 January 2014. It is the vendor's responsibility to read and understand the entire solicitation package (Solicitation, Exhibits and Attachments) prior to bid submission. All bids received must be prepared and submitted in accordance with Section L of the attached solicitation. Electronic submissions via email or fax will not be accepted. Upon bid period closing, all bids will be opened and evaluated per Section M of the attached solicitation. Invitation For Bid (IFB) period ends 16 December @ 1401 hrs Central Standard Time. No bids will be accepted after that date and time.
