Description
Special Notice The Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) Information Directorate at the Rome Research Site (RRS) has rescheduled the one day, Top Secret/SCI Industry Day for the Automated Virtual Information Production Support System V (AVIPSS V) solicitation at the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC), Wright-Patterson, AFB, OH. The new date is December 17, 2013. Under this solicitation the following will be accomplished: performance of operations and maintenance, research and development, and intelligence production support to enhance, maintain, modernize, extend the capabilities of, operate and utilize the NASIC AVIPSS. AVIPSS is designed to meet NASIC mission requirements. The effort is a part of an AFRL/RI enhancement, sustainment, and research and development program to deliver services and capabilities required to satisfy the demands of a continually changing production mission at NASIC in response to ever-evolving threats in an equally dynamic technological environment. The solicitation will also provide for the information technology solution to achieve NASIC corporate objectives for pre-positioning its analytical knowledge and enabling customers and intelligence analysts to build current, accurate and robust intelligence products. The effort will include the: research and development of parametric information models; design of physical and logical database structures; development of capabilities to interactively maintain data within the databases; implementation of the capabilities necessary to derive tailored specialized products from the textual and parametric databases and multimedia object repositories; design of high level constructs that dynamically incorporate database information into knowledge-oriented objects; and the development, implementation and maintenance of customer friendly software applications/tools and interfaces. The AVIPSS consists of the Systematic Architecture for Virtual Analytic Net-Centric Threat Intelligence (SAVANTTM) system, the Electronic Warfare Integrated Reprogramming (EWIR) System, Integrated Discovery, Exploit and Analysis Service (IDEAS), Dynamic Information Operations Decision Environment (DIODE), Links and Nodes (L&N); TEL-SCOPE telecommunications network modeler; and a host of other applications/systems. The purpose of the Industry Day is to: (1) Provide interested companies with an overview of the major systems under the solicitations (2) Enable industry to better understand requirements, goals, priorities and business opportunities (3) Help industry to prepare for the upcoming RFPs (4) Provide an opportunity for information sharing and encourage partnering opportunities and teaming relationships Specifics about the informational meeting: (1) Date: Tuesday, December 17, 2013 (2) Location: National Air and Space Intelligence Center, 4180 Watson Way, Wright-Patterson, AFB, OH 45433 (3) Time: Check-in 8:00; 8:30 to 12:00 AM General Session; 1:00 to 4:00 PM, individual sessions. Prohibited items in the NASIC facility include: Cell phones, PDA, audio/video recorders, cameras, pagers, wireless devices, computer media, laptops, thumb drives, IPOD/MP3 players, firearms and illegal substances. All briefcases are subject to search. Recommend that these items be left in your vehicles. To gain access to the WPAFB, please email, by November 29, 2013, the following information to bruce.jivens@us.af.mi : Name, Email Address, Driver's License/ID Number and Driver's License/ID State of issue. Once this information is submitted to the Base, a printable Base pass will be emailed to the email address provided. NASIC access and parking: Individual industry representatives will be provided a base pass via email if the above process is completed. This will facilitate entrance and minimize delays. Visit request forms and clearance information will be used to create an Entry Access List for NASIC Security. No conference fee and no refreshments will be provided. Information related to directions, lodging and the Request for Visit Authorization to NASIC can be requested from Mr. Bruce Jivens ( bruce.jivens@us.af.mil ) or Mr. James Sieffert ( james.sieffert@us.af.mil ). Agenda for the informational exchange will include: • A series of briefings by Government personnel during the morning session describing various capabilities including: their scope, requirements and a program overview. • At the conclusion of the presentations, Government personnel will answer any general questions from the attendees. • At noon, the general session will conclude. • Individual one-on-one sessions will be scheduled between Government personnel and individual industry representatives. A sign-up sheet for each solicitation will be provided. Select an open half hour block for your company to have time with a government representative. Please only one appointment per company. (Additional individual contact with the AFRL personnel at their offices in Rome, NY (or other methods of communication) can be arranged for a later date, as needed.)
