- Introduction The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) would like to invite you to an NGA Operations Technology Day, Living in the Data, hosted by Ms. Lisa Spuria, NGA Portfolio Manager for Analytic Capabilities, and Director of the NGA Analysis Directorate and Mr. Jimmy Greene, NGA Portfolio Manager for Content, and Director of the NGA Source Management and Operations Directorate. It will be held on Wednesday, 11 December 2013, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, check in 8:00-9:00 at NCE. Our primary goal is to expose a new subset of small business industry partners to our business at NGA. Note: This special notice is being issued solely for information and planning purposes in support of the NGA Operations Technology Day and does not constitute an Invitation for Bids (IFB), a Request for Proposals (RFP), a Request for Quotations (RFQ), or an indication that the Government will contract for any items and/or services as the result of this notice or outreach session. Collaboration with Industry Early and frequent interaction and collaboration with industry and academia is critical to the NGA mission, our customers and our strategic partnerships. We are seeking to develop operational capabilities and advanced GEOINT solutions that are informed by innovation and evolving technical expertise. The intent of the NGA Operations Technology Day is to expose our analysts' current workflows and content management capabilities to our industry partners as an opportunity to witness first-hand how we do the business of "Content" provision and "Analysis." We strive to promote a shared understanding of the challenges and opportunities we face going forward. For reference, we encourage interested partners to review the NGA's Strategy. Specifically, we would ask our partners that as they observe how we currently do business to consider some of the challenges posed below: How do we best capture our GEOINT knowledge through scalable, responsive and agile GEOINT information systems? - How do we create an integrated environment for GEOINT analysis that is open, adaptive and agile? - How do we advance the structuring and organization of GEOINT information in order to document and expose our knowledge? How do we expose our GEOINT insights and knowledge for discovery, analytic integration and mission application? - How do we transition from standard or static products to include also dynamic content? - How do we enable mission partners to experience and fully and routinely leverage GEOINT? How do we evolve the visualization of GEOINT data into 3D, 4D and 5D environments? How do we build partnerships with small business and how do small business partners engage with us?
