- The purpose of this pre-solicitation notice is to notify that the U.S. Geological Survey, Albuquerque Seismic Laboratory plans to solicit offers for Satellite Communication Services under Solicitation No. G14PS00034. The Government intends to award a single contract with a period of performance of the base year and four one-year options. The contractor shall provide satellite communication services. This includes, but is not limited to, remote station hardware (if Government Furnished Equipment cannot be utilized), two-way satellite communication service, a contractor supplied satellite hub, and secure data transfer to the NEIC. The applicable North American Industrial Classification Code (NAICS Code) is 517410 - Satellite Telecommunications with a size standard of $30.0 million. The Period of Performance (POP) will be for the base year and four one-year options. This requirement is a HubZone Small Business set-aside. The contract type is a firm-fixed priced contract and will be awarded based on the Best Value to the Government. Solicitation No. G14PS00034 will be issued on or about December 3, 2013. The closing date and time for submission of offers will be contained in the solicitation package. The solicitation notice and any/all amendments will be posted and available for viewing and downloading at Federal Business Opportunities at www.fbo.gov and FedConnect at https://www.fedconnect.net/FedConnect/Default.htm at no charge. No paper copies will be issued. When the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review the aforementioned sites regularly for any updates/amendments to this requirement. All prospective offerors must have a Commercial and Government Entity Code (CAGE Code) and must complete online Representations and Certifications and be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at https://www.sam.gov.
