- Description
- The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, AFLCMC/HIK, intends to award a sole source contract with Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) to provide highly specialized services necessary for continuation of help desk operations and sustainment of DCAPES for a six month extension to the current contract with 2 three month options located at Maxwell AFB-Gunter Annex, AL. Periods of Performance: Base: 1 Dec 13 to 31 May 14 Option 1: 1 Jun 14 to 31 Aug 14 Option 2: 1 Sep 14 to 30 Nov 14 The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The follow-on requirement will be competed among the NETCENTS II Application Services contract holders. An Ombudsman has been appointed to address concerns from offerors or potential sources. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the Program Manager or Contracting Officer, but to communicate offeror concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of the proposals or in the source selection process. The Ombudsman should only be contacted with issues or problems previously brought to the attention of the Program Manager and/or the Contracting Officer, which could not be satisfactorily resolved, or issues that require contractor confidentiality.
