- The United States Coast Guard Maintenance & Logistics Command, Atlantic intends to issue a Commercial Request for Quotes (RFQ) for DOCKSIDE Repairs to the USCGC BAYBERRY. The acquisition will be solicited as a HUBZONE Business Set-Aside. The Coast Guard intends to conduct the procurement in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. The acquisition will be issued as a Best Value, Request for Quotes (RFQ), on or about December 2, 2013. The solicitation will be issued electronically on the FEDBIZOPPS web page at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. It is incumbent upon contractors to monitor the FEDBIZOPS web page for RFQ release and all subsequent amendments. Please sign up for the Auto Notification service to receive e-mail from FEDBIZOPPS when an action is taken under this solicitation. The small business size standard is less than 1,000 employees. The NAICS Code is 336611. Anticipated Period of Performance: (Subject to change at the discretion of the Government): The period of performance is anticipated to be for THIRTY-FIVE (35) calendar days with a start date of 20 February 2014 and end date of 26 March 2014. Contractor shall provide all necessary facilities, materials, equipment, and personnel to perform DOCKSIDE Repairs to the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter (USCGC) BAYBERRY (WLI-65400), a 65 Foot Inland Tender Cutter. The vessel is home ported at CGC BAYBERRY, 300 B Caswell Beach Road, Oak Island, NC 28465. All work will be performed at vessel's homeport. Scope of Work: (Subject to change at the discretion of the Government): The scope of the acquisition is for the overhauling, cleaning, inspecting, and repairing of various items aboard the USCGC) BAYBERRY (WLI-65400). This work will include, but is not limited to the following WORK ITEMS: WORK ITEM 1: Tanks (Potable Water), Clean and Inspect WORK ITEM 2: Vent Ducts (Galley and Pantry Room All), Commercial Cleaning WORK ITEM 3: Forward Peak Compartment, Preserve WORK ITEM 4: Temporary Services, Provide WORK ITEM 5: Buoy Crane, Inspect and Repair WORK ITEM 6: Ventilation Fans (Vaneaxial), Overhaul WORK ITEM 7: Vent Ducts, Renew WORK ITEM 8: Deck Covering (Wet/Dry), Seal WORK ITEM 9: Deck Covering (Interior Wet/Dry), Renew WORK ITEM 10: Hull and Structural Plating (General) - 10.2 Pound Steel, Repair WORK ITEM 11: Compartment Interior, Lead and Asbestos Coatings on Bulkhead and Overhead Surfaces, Partially Abate WORK ITEM 12: Airport and Fixed Port light, Overhaul WORK ITEM 13: Pilothouse Window, Overhaul WORK ITEM 14: Pilothouse Top and Mast, Repair **Funds are not presently available for this contract. The Government's obligation under this contract is contingent upon the availability of appropriated funds from which payment for contract purposes can be made. ** All welding and brazing shall be accomplished by trained welders who have been certified by the applicable regulatory code performance qualification procedures.
