Description
Statement of Objectives for 24/7 Access Solution This RFI is issued by the Air Force Nonappropriated Fund Purchasing Office (AFNAFPO). All requirements, solicitations and subsequent contracts, if any, awarded through AFNAFPO are funded wholly with Nonappropriated Funds. These funds are generated through Air Force morale, welfare and recreation (MWR) programs worldwide. THEY ARE NOT APPROPRIATIONS FROM CONGRESS OR "TAXPAYER" DOLLARS. 1. I n t r o du c tion. The Air Force Personnel Center, Services Directorate (AFPC/SV) is seeking a Commercial-off-the Shelf (COTS) stand-alone solution to implement secure access to Air Force Fitness Centers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at both CONUS and OCONUS AF fitness centers. The overall objective of the 24/7 Fitness Center Operations requirement is to provide unmanned secure access for all authorized military patrons, to include DoD civilians, retirees and dependents. We are looking for a turn-key solution to provide the necessary hardware and software, to include all equipment and installation at approximately forty (40) or more designated Fitness Centers. The successful Contractor shall poss ess a Building Industry Consulting Service International (BICSI) or equivalent and provide all necessary supervision, labor, travel, materials, tools, equipment, training, accessories and other items necessary to safely complete the installation of all components. This includes any ladders, lifts, hoists, power tools, safety gear or other equipment/tools, supplies necessary to complete installation and provide necessary testing of all installed components including maintenance and technical support after installation. A State licensed General Contractor will make or directly supervise all electrical connections. The Contractor personnel or company shall be licensed in the state he/she is performing the installation. Installation will be to Department of Defense, Air Force and Industry standards to include those set forth in: TIA/EIA-570, Residential Telecommunications Cabling Standards, TIA/EIA-607, Commercial Building Grounding and bonding Requirements for Telecommunications, NFPA 70 National Electric Code (NEC), NFPA 101, Life Safety Code, and NFPA 780, Standard for the installation of Lightning Protection Systems installation schedules To a ide y ou in p r oviding y o ur r e sponse to th i s RF I, w e h a ve i n c luded in f o r mation about the AF P C/ S V op e r a t i on a l envi r onment. 2.
