- This is NOT a solicitation announcement, but rather a Sources Sought Synopsis. Quotes are not being accepted with this synopsis. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah District, is seeking qualified Small Business firms doing business under NAICS 237990 - Other Heavy & Civil Engineering Construction, who are interested in performing Replacement/Repair of the Floating Dock at the Engineer Depot, Hutchinson Island, SC, for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah District. The scope of work for this requirement is attached. This announcement is part of our market research, and responses are sought to identify sources that have the knowledge, skills and capability to perform this work. Interested small business firms that qualify under the NAICS code identified above, are invited to submit a response to demonstrate their capability. Firms MUST be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) to be eligible for any subsequent award that may result at a later time. In accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Part 9, a preaward survey will be performed to determine responsibility and eligibility of a potential awardee. It is anticipated that the Government will issue a firm fixed price purchase order for this work estimated between $50K and $75K. The Government will not pay for development of information in response to this announcement. Firms should submit similar work which was successfully completed. Each contractor shall state whether they are currently performing, or have previously performed pile installation projects in a marine environment with swift currents and within restrictive time frames along with an 8-10 foot tide cycle. The contractor shall have successfully completed or substantially completed in the last three (3) years, work that demonstrates the contractor's specialized experience similar to this solicitation. The Contractor shall provide references with telephone number for at least two (2) successfully completed projects. The minimum requirements are to have successfully completed at least two (2) similar projects within three (3) years of the issuance of this solicitation, and will be considered in determining whether the bidder is qualified to perform the work in accordance with Federal Acquisition (FAR) Part 9.
