- Description
- Project Manager Electronic Warfare invites Industry, Academia and other Government organizations to join them on 3 Dec 2013 to receive information briefings on PM EW's capability portfolio, and to interact and discuss potential approaches to cooperative research and development. The theme is quote mark Exploring innovative concepts for partnering with Industry and others in the areas of ground Electronic Warfare (EW), Tactical Cyber, Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (EMSO) and tactical ground Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) capabilities. quote mark Given today's environment of budget cuts and fiscal uncertainty, it is extremely important that Industry and others understand Army priorities, gaps, and where to make strategic investment decisions. PM EW, in conjunction with the Communications-Electronics Research Development and Engineering Center (CERDEC) seek opportunities to help industry focus its Independent Research & Development (IR&D) on technology innovation that will bring maximum benefit to the Army. This collaborative outreach will not only help PM EW leverage Industry's IR&D resources, but Industry and others will benefit when their research and development programs are better matched to meet Army EW mission requirements. Please register at www.ewoutreachday.com Please come join us in what is expected to be an interesting and informative half day session. We recognize our Collaborative Outreach event on the afternoon of 3 Dec 2013 is scheduled in parallel with the Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG) Advanced Planning Briefing to Industry (APBI) C4ISR Day. The APBI event was viewed as a target of opportunity when many Industry attendees would be in the APG, MD area, thus minimizing travel time and costs. The intent is to capitalize on this opportunity. It is our hope that the afternoon APBI and Outreach sessions are mutually exclusive, and do not detract or inhibit target Industry audience from attending either event. We apologize in advance if this is not the case
