- Description
- The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office in Fargo, ND intends to publish a Request for quote (RFQ) for a vendor to provide the Fargo VA Health Care System's supply of dairy product. Deliveries are made four (4) days per week: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday to Nutrition and Food Service, Building One (1), Main Kitchen, Room number 2148 between 8:00am and 11am. Delivery will not be required on national holidays. Contractor/deliverer will check stock on hand located in Main Kitchen walk-in cooler room number 2153 and the weekly milk usage/stock schedule. The delivery will be the current day plus any additional days until the next delivery minus stock on hand (Example: Friday delivery would include Friday, Saturday and Sunday's scheduled usage minus inventory). Contractor/deliverer will have delivery checked in by a Nutrition and Food Service employee who has been delegated the authority. If contractor does not have a contracted item available at time of delivery, contractor will offer an acceptable substitute (approved by Nutrition and Food Service Supervisory Personnel) or obtain the item from other source. All items delivered must be refrigerated at a temperature of 32 -45 F. If items do not meet this requirement, they may be rejected. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 311511 and the small business size standard is 500 employees, the solicitation will be 100% set-aside for small businesses and will be issued on or about December 2nd, 2013. This proposed contract will be a firm fix-price. The term of the contract will be one base year plus four one-year options, at the discretion of the Government - the base period is anticipated to begin January 1, 2014. All interested parties should insure they are registered in SAM.gov the primary registration database for the U.S. Federal Government. This pre-solicitation notice does not commit the government to contract for any supply or service.
