- Description
- The Bureau of the Fiscal Service, on behalf of the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) intends to award an order to Perkin Elmer for Comprehensive Maintenance Plan for Laboratory Equipment. The period of performance will be a base period of one year, beginning on January 5, 2014, with the possibility of two one year option periods. According to market research conducted, the maintenance is proprietary to Perkin Elmer and they are the sole provider of maintenance and parts for this Laboratory Equipment. No solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent to sole source is not a request for competitive quotations; however, the Government will consider responses received no later than 2:00 PM ET on December 5, 2013. Responses shall be submitted to PSB3@bpd.treas.gov; Attention: BWatson / BCooper. Responses shall include, at a minimum, the following information: 1. The name of your company; 2. Company DUNS No.; 3. POC name and contact information; 4. The specific services(s) that your company offers that fulfills the same function as the items to be included on this order or evidence that your company is capable of providing a renewal for the specific items mentioned above; and, 5. A description of that services(s) and its overall capabilities. It is your responsibility to demonstrate how your services(s) is capable of providing the same functionality that exists with the Perkin Elmer services mentioned above. The Government will not seek additional information from your company if you fail to provide sufficient evidence of having a product cable of meeting the Government's needs. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government's Contracting Officer. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
