RFP VA251-14-R-0094 - Wheelchair Transport Services This is NOT a solicitation announcement and should not be construed as such. This is a sources sought synopsis only. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification (HubZone, 8(a), Small Business, Small Disadvantaged, etc) relative to NAICS 485991 (size standard of $14.0 million). Responses to this synopsis will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses to this sources sought synopsis, a solicitation announcement may be published at www.fbo.gov website. Responses to this sources sought notice are not considered adequate responses to the solicitation announcement. All interested offerors will have to respond to the solicitation announcement in addition to responding to this sources sought announcement. VA requires Medical Transportation Service to transport beneficiaries including physically or mentally handicapped individuals in wheelchairs and aged and infirm persons, their attendants and personal belongings between points in Indiana. Contractor shall provide all labor, materials and equipment necessary to transport VA beneficiaries by Wheelchair Van method. The services of this contract will be utilized primarily for trips starting at a veteran's location (residence, nursing home, and other medical facilities) with the trip terminating at the Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center. Some trips will start at the Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center and end at other medical facilities and vice versa. Trips may start at a veteran's location and end at other medical facilities, i.e. IU Medical Center, Riley Hospital, Methodist Hospital etc. A Business Associate Agreement (BAA) is needed and background checks will be required. The Veterans Affairs Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center (RLR VAMC), Indianapolis, IN is performing pre-solicitation market research to determine potential business sources and set-aside possibilities for Wheelchair Transport Services. If you are interested and capable of providing the required services, please provide the requested information, as indicated below. The intended contract will be a base year with a possibility of four (4) one (1) year renewal option years. Potential sources must demonstrate experience and knowledge of required services and capability to provide such services. The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their capabilities. Potential sources should identify business name, point of contact, business size and any applicable business socio-economic category (i.e. small business, SDVOSB, VOSB, etc), service capability statement, provide information for recent and relevant projects similar in nature, DUNS number, address and any additional information felt to be pertinent. The NAICS code for this procurement is 485991 and the small business size standard is $14.0 million. This notice is to assist the VA in determining sources only. A solicitation is not currently available at this time. Responses to this sources sought is not a request to be added to a prospective offerors list or to receive a copy of the solicitation. RLR VAMC IS NOT SEEKING PRICING OR OFFERS OF ANY KIND. There is no guarantee, expressed or implicit, that the market research for this acquisition will result in a particular set-aside or sole source award, or any other guarantee of award strategy.
