Description
Federal Business Opportunities Information Date: 22 November 2013 SOLICITATION NO. W9128F-14-B-0002 On or about 20 December 2013, this office will issue an Invitation for Bid for construction of the FY14 B-52 Munitions Storage Igloos, Minot AFB, ND. The solicitation will close on or about 21 February 2014. This solicitation is RESTRICTED TO SMALL BUSINESS PARTICIPATION ONLY. A site visit for the proposed project will be held after solicitation issue. Solicitation documents will provide pertinent site visit information including date, time, point(s) of contact, and any special instructions for attendance. DO NOT submit requests for plans and specifications to the site visit personnel listed above. See 'Obtaining Solicitation Documents' below. _______________________________________________________________________________ Project Description: (Approx. quantities) Munitions Storage Igloos consist of a standard Modular Storage Magazine (MSM) design for construction whereby eight (8) individual MSM will be constructed on a defined site with construction limits. Each MSM is approximately 1,580 GSF, with interior NSF dimensions of approximately 60' in length by 25' in width for a total of approximately 12,640 GSF. Work will require the placement of foundations and precast structures at locations indicated on the plans. Structures will require interior paint and lighting with sealed concrete floors and blast doors. Site work will require grading and pavements (PCC) per plans with all storage magazines receiving an earthen cover and lightning protection. Site security lighting will be required around the complex as well as security fencing around the site. The estimated construction cost of this project is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. _______________________________________________________________________________ The Contractor will be required to commence work within 10 days after notice to proceed and complete the work 540 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Provisions will be included for liquidated damages in case of failure to complete the work in the time allowed. Performance and payment bonds will be required. Bonding documents including the power of attorney shall bear an original signature by an officer of the surety.
