- This synopsis is being posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website located at http://www.fbo.gov. FBO is the primary point of entry to be used when access to synopses and solicitations from the World Wide Web is required. Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division has a requirement for production of Pin Diode, Part Number MMP7034. This requirement is planned as a commercial Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract for a period of five (5) years. This solicitation will be issued utilizing other than full and open competition procedures under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements." Offers will be solicited from Micro-Metrics, Inc. doing business as Aeroflex / Metelics - East (Aeroflex), 54 Grenier Field Rd., Londonderry NH 03053. The basis for restricting competition is that Aeroflex is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of these diodes. Specific items are required to meet exact form, fit, and function replacement part for existing equipment. CLIN 0001 - Pin Diode, Part Number MMP7034, 160 X70 Glass Axial Lead Package - Quantity: Min 11,000/Max 106,000 Delivery will be FOB Destination at NSWC Crane. Final inspection and acceptance will be at destination. FAR part 13.5 procedures will be used. The solicitation will be available on or about 02 December 2013 at the website listed above. Interested parties can download the solicitation from the website listed above, for no hard copies of the solicitation will be mailed. The solicitation closing date will be on or about 13 January 2014. Offers must be submitted in the format specified in the solicitation to be considered. It is the responsibility of Offerors to download the RFP and to submit offers to the POC at NSWC Crane to be considered. This is not a Request for Proposal.
