- Description
- The Defense Health Agency (DHA) awarded a Requirements Contract with Fixed Unit Prices to supplement the Department of Defense (DoD) Dental Treatment Facilities (DTFs) to United Concordia Companies, Inc., (UCCI) Harrisburg, PA. The Active Duty Dental Program (ADDP) contract will supplement the dental care provided at the DoD's DTFs as well as provide care to those Active Duty Services members (ADSMs) living in regions without access to DTFs. Contract requirements include management of provider networks, enrollment, claims processing, customer service, while providing beneficiary satisfaction at the highest level possible. ADDP applies to all Active Duty Service Members (ADSMs) of the Uniformed Services, eligible members of the Reserves and National Guard, Reserve Component members discharged after serving more than 30 days on active duty in support of a contingency operation, and those Foreign Forces Members (FFMs) eligible for care pursuant to an approved agreement (e.g., reciprocal healthcare agreement, North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA), Partnership for Peace (PFP) SOFA). The base period of the contract runs from December 2, 2013 for approximately 8 (eight) months; with five (5) one-year option periods continuing through 31 July 2019. Total estimated value of the contract, including the five one-year option periods plus a transition-in period is $727,963,837. The Defense Health Agency, Aurora, CO, is the contracting activity (HT9402-13-D-0001).
