- NOTICE TO CONTRACTOR This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for commercial items, which the Naval Medical Center San Diego intends to solicit this requirement with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). The source is W.L. Gore & Associates, Inc. CAGE CODE: 1BX19, NAICS: 339112. As required by FAR 13.106-1(b), the contracting officer has determined that W.L. Gore is the only company that has FDA clearance to manufacture and distribute a stent for a TIPS procedure, due to patient outcomes and material used. Prepared in accordance with the information in FAR subpart 12.6, using Simplified Acquisitions Procedures for commercial items found at FAR 13, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. PAPER COPIES OF THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE. The Request for Quotation (RFQ) number is N00259-14-T-0032. The closing date is December 2, 2012. 10:00 AM Pacific Standard Time.
