Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Southern Oregon Rehabilitation Center and Clinics (SORCC) requires the services of an Architectural and Engineering contractor to provide complete a full design to fully demo the existing two story building 206 and replace with a new two story 26,000 Square Feet building that will accommodate Residential Care Beds and associated support services. The design will include necessary utility work and emergency or auxiliary power is to be provided. The design also includes a new parking lot construction in the approximate area of the footprint of the demolished building 206. The new building is one of many of the new residential care bed buildings and the fourth, two-story version. The intention is to maintain the overall architectural footprint similar to the previous replaced buildings 204A, 205A, and 203A (currently under design). The design shall be sustainable and shall meet the VA's most recent Sustainable Design & Energy Design & Energy Reduction Manual. The design shall require energy modeling. The complexity of the energy model should be in keeping with the design stage, progressing from simple during schematic design to a complete analysis in DOE2 or a similar approved tool for the final design development design.
