Description

This is a public synopsis of a forthcoming solicitation in accordance with FAR 36.213-2 for Project Number 528-14-S07.This is NOT a solicitation, and no solicitation documents are currently publically available. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 238290 with a small business size standard of $14.00M. Competition for this procurement is restricted to SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS (SDVOSB). In accordance with FAR Subpart 36.204, the magnitude of the project is between $25,000 and $100,000. The Davis-Bacon Act applies to this requirement. The offeror shall obtain any and all necessary licenses or permits required to perform this work in the State of New York. REQUIREMENT: The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a construction contractor to furnish all labor, tools, materials, equipment, supplies and supervision to re-cable four separate elevators (Elevator #7, #8, #9, #12) at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Buffalo, NY in accordance with the drawings and specifications. Work includes, but is not limited to, architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, etc. Schedule will include taking only one elevator out of service for re-cabling, at a time. Prospective contractors must be registered and certified online with http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov and must be registered at http://www.sam.gov in accordance with 38 CFR Part 74 and VAAR 819.70 to be eligible for award. Solicitation will be posted on/about December 12, 2013. A walk-through will be held on or about one week after the posting of the solicitation for this RFQ. NO other site visits will be permitted. These dates are estimates and the actual dates will be stated in the solicitation. All questions concerning this project MUST be submitted electronically to the POC listed below. NO phone calls will be accepted. The Contracting Specialist for this project is Emily Lindsey (Emily.Lindsey2@va.gov).This is a SERVICE-DISABLED VETERAN OWNED BUSINESS SET-ASIDE.
