- Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Maritime Puget Sound, in support of the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard (PSNS) and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (IMF) intends to solicit for one (1 ea) cam plate, one (1 ea) steel ring, six (6 ea) radial bearing, four (4 ea) planet roller, four (4 ea) planet roler set, one (1 ea) piston shoe assembly under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items, and FAR 13 Simplified Acquisitions. This procurement will result in a firm-fixed-priced (FFP) contract will be issued. This requirement is being issued as a synopsis for commercial items in accordance with FAR 5.203. This announcement constitutes the only synopsis. The solicitation number for this requirement will be issued as a request for quote (RFQ) SPMYM2-14-Q-0062 utilizing evaluation criteria. Offers shall provide FOB destination pricing to PSNS Bremerton, WA. The proposed acquisition is set aside 100% for small business. The applicable NAICS code for this requirement is 332911 and has a size standard of 500 employees. Provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Federal Circulars 2005-71 will be included in the solicitation. All questions regarding this synopsis should be submitted in writing, no later than 17 Dec 2013, 12:00 am PT. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be available for download on or around 03 Dec, 2013. The closing date of the solicitation will be specified in the solicitation. The RFQ will be posted on the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) web link at https://www.neco.navy.mil and will also be available for download at http://www.fbo.gov/. Offerors wishing to submit an offer are responsible for downloading their own copy of the RFQ and for frequently monitoring the site for any amendments. A bidders list will not be maintained by this office, no telephone or fax requests for the RFQ packages will be accepted. Failure to respond to the electronically posted RFQ and associated amendments prior to the date and time set for receipt of proposals specified on the solicitation may render vendor offer non-responsive and result in rejection of the same. Firms interested in submitting offers must: 1) complete the pricing, 2) complete all representation and certifications found in the solicitation, 3) provide manufacturer information of proposed items, and 4) ensure current registration in the SAM (System for Award Management) System.
