- Description
- The U.S. Maritime Administration intends to acquire on a sole source basis the services for Ship's Automation from the Original Equipment Manufacturer, (OEM) TMS, 6040 North Cutter Circle, Portland, Oregon 97217, Phone 503-285-8947. This vendor is the only known Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Representative for the TMS equipment aboard the TS GOLDEN BEAR. As OEM, the proprietary software (System 2000) and hardware for the TMS installed panels on the TS Golden Bear on the Bridge (Control Panel and Ballast Panel) and in the Engine Room. They have experience and unique knowledge to manufacture and/or effect repairs. The TMS representative is geographically unique in being the only entity within reasonable proximity to the location of the vessel, with the personnel, expertise and equipment, along with necessary indemnities, to perform the required work. The TMS Bridge and Engine Room control panels must be serviced annually in preparations for the annual USCG COI and annual ABS Surveys. TMS has proprietary rights to the hardware and software for the control panels located on the TS GOLDEN BEAR Bridge and Engine Room. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirements by emailing a Capability Statement (CS) to the Contracting Officer, Kathryn Rato at Kathryn.rato@dot.gov by DEC 19, 2013. Capability statements must include documentation establishing the ability to satisfy the requirements in the Statement of Work (SOW). Any information received will be considered for the purpose of conducting a competitive procurement. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
