- This is a synopsis prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisitions Procedures. This is a Notice of Intent. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are NOT being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The announcement number for this acquisition is NIH-OD 3208771 and is being issued under the authority of FAR Subpart 6.302-1, 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1) Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The anticipated award date is December 18, 2013. This acquisition will be processed under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 337214, which has a size dollar standard of 500. The National Institutes of Health, Office of the Director, Office of Logistics and Acquisitions Operations, on the behalf of Office of Research Facilities/ Division of Facility Stewardship intends to procure on a sole source basis from UNICOR Office Furniture Group. The Division of Facilities Stewardship offices are required to move to a new location and must obtain new furniture to accommodate the move. UNICOR is within the Department of Justice and has competitive pricing with GSA and eliminates the requirement for obtaining quotes showing competitive pricing. UNICOR will provide a furniture design for the new office space. The requirement includes: installation of freestanding workstations, installation of Genius wall for employees and supervisors. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive Electronic submission will not be accepted. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Please reference the announcement number on all correspondence.
