Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs in Bonham Texas, VISN 17, intends to negotiate a base plus two year option sole-source contract with Beckman Coulter Inc., for the Cost-per-reportable -results (CPPR) that includes the equipment, service, and consumables (all reagents, controls and calibrators necessary to operate the system for the Pathology Laboratory Medicine. NAICS code 339112. Justification for this sole source procurement is in accordance with FAR 6.302-1(a) (2) (ii) (A), only one responsible source. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. It is not a solicitation or request for offers. A determination not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. If no valid responses are received, the South Texas Veterans Health Care System will proceed with the intended sole source contract. Responses must be received no later than 12:00 P.M.
