Description
Notice of Contract Action (NOCA) Dynamic Retasking Capability (DRC) Operations Support (OS) Battle Space Communication Branch (HBDC), The Theater Battle Control Division (HBD), Battle Management Directorate, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) Hanscom AFB, MA intends to award a contract modification to Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation (NG) to extend DRC contract FA8307-11-C-0010 for an additional three (3) month period in order to provide continued Operational Support to the Dynamic Retasking Capability (DRC) Program system. The DRC system provides support to USAF Military Airlift Forces (MAF) aircraft both in CONUS and OCONUS locations. The contractor will provide maintenance and mission support for aircraft equipped with the DRC system which provides a Roll on / Roll off (RORO) Line of Sight (LOS) and Beyond Line of Sight (BLOS) capability to MAF aircraft. The DRC system is a set of radios, cockpit displays, central processor and interface software that allows MAF aircraft to become part of the tactical data network. The system allows the aircraft and aircrew to interface with a local tactical data network while simultaneously extending that network to a BLOS location. Aircrews, during the performance of airlift missions, are apprised of enemy threats as they are detected, and options are pushed directly to the cockpit. Flights are dynamically adjusted based on the information transmitted thus enhancing force protection levels. Northrop Grumman is the originator of the DRC system. This NOCA does not constitute an Invitation for Bids (IFB) or a Request for Proposals (RFP) nor does its issuance restrict the Government as to its ultimate acquisition approach; the Government will not reimburse firms for any costs associated with preparing or submitting a response to this notice. Questions concerning this requirement may be directed by email to Walter Wysocki at Walter.Wysocki@hanscom.af.mil or to the procurement purchasing officer, Kelly Martineau at Kelly.Martineau@hanscom.af.mil.
