The Government has been contracting with TASC, Inc. for the Space Control Architecture Development (SCAD) from 1 May 2009 to 31 Jan 2014 on a sole source basis because TASC, Inc. provides highly specialized services and unique analytical capabilities using software tools LOOKOUT, SHIELD, and SWORD that are being developed and modified for the Government. Per FAR 6.302-l(a)(2)(iii)(A) and (B), the intent is to award a sole source contract to TASC, Inc. for that same work, under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) for modeling and simulation analysis and software development with a six month base (from 1 February 2014 to 31 July 2014), and three six-month option periods. Any persons or companies interested in this notice are to respond to the requirement(s) and submit their capabilities to Ms. Diana Ly. The capabilities statement should address why the company believes that the prior sole source justification is no longer valid. 17. Place of Contract Performance. El Segundo, CA 18. Set-aside Status.
