Description

The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to issue a sole-source solicitation N00024-14-R-4305 for the operation, maintenance, protection, and certification of U.S. floating dry-dock SHIPPINGPORT (ARDM-4) to General Dynamics Electric Boat Corporation, 75 Eastern Point Road, Groton, CT 06340. SHIPPINGPORT (ARDM-4) is located at the Naval Submarine Base, New London, CT. Electric Boat Corporation is the only private nuclear qualified shipyard certified to operate the floating dry-dock. The solicitation will provide support during a one year base period commencing in FY15 and have an additional four one-year option periods. The contract will be issued pursuant to 10 USC 2304(c)(1), only one or a limited number of responsible sources and no other types of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.303. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Companies interested in subcontracting opportunities should contact Electric Boat Corporation directly. See Numbered Note 22
