Description

The purpose of amendment VA101-14-Q-023 A00001 is to: a. Extend the response due date from 13 Dec 2013 to Monday, 16 Dec 2013, 3:00 PM EST; b. Provide responses to vendors' questions; As a result of this amendment, the response due date is changed to 16 Dec 2013, 3:00 PM EST, and the Performance Work Statement is amended as provided below. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged and in full effect. VA101-14-Q-0023 HITC Mail Presort Services Questions and Answers: The following questions and answers have been provided to clarify the solicitation requirements: 1)What is the name of the contractor currently providing mail presort services the work at the HITC facility? a.The company providing mail presort services under the previous contract was Presort Solutions. 2)PWS Section V. Requirement, Paragraph E (page 9) states "The contractor must process a sufficient volume of daily mail, no less than an average of 300,000 pieces daily of other first class presorted mail, to insure that VA's mail qualifies for the highest possible postage discount rate for a minimum of 85% of VA Mail." The statement would mean that annualized a contractor would need to process approximately 81,000,000 million pieces of mail in addition to the VA's 14,000,000 million pieces of mail. a.The PWS Section V. Requirement, Paragraph E has been revised to read as follows: b."The contractor must process all daily mail received from the VA, in conjunction with any other first class presorted mail (outside of the VA), to ensure that VA's mail qualifies for the highest possible postage discount rate."
