Description

Request for Information Number VA786-14-I-0048. This is a request for information announcement and shall not be construed as a formal solicitation or obligation on behalf of the Government. Currently, funds are unavailable for this requirement and have not been appropriated for this announcement. Any information provided or furnished by prospective offerors in response to this announcement is voluntary and done so at no costs to the Government. The Department of Veterans Affairs, National Cemetery Administration located at 155 Van Gordon Street, Lakewood, Colorado is seeking information from qualified and eligible firms (public or private) capable of providing all plant, labor, tools, parts, equipment, transportation and supervision to remove at no cost to the National Cemetery Administration approximately 70,000 cubic yards of relatively clean spoils generated as part of interment operations and considered general fill material. The spoils are located in a single location at the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery located at 1520 Harry Wurzbach Road, San Antonio, TX 78209, and will be provided free of charge; however, it will be the responsibility of the party, and not the Cemetery to load, remove and transport offsite. Given the amount of existing spoils needing to be removed from the Cemetery grounds, the National Cemetery Administration reserves the right to award multiple agreements or enter into multiple no cost contracts with public or private entities to remove existing and future spoils.Interested parties may contact the Cemetery; Mr. David Aubrey at 210-820-3891 to view the existing spoils and interested parties should contact the Contracting Officer, Mr. Derek C. Reed at (303) 914-5710 if interested in entering into an agreement to remove said spoils at no cost to the Government. Please include your firm's name, point- of-contact information, address, phone number, and email address with any inquiry or response to this announcement. Please also indicate how much how dirt your firm may be interested in acquiring. The North American Industry Classification System Code is 238910, and the size standard is $14.0 million.
